Disconnected

I felt I needed to get back to drawing some stuff that wasn't designed to be 'finished' in Photoshop and Flash. In between drawing the Flashboarders Profile Pictures (Myself, Headshot, Boe and Joanime are drawn... which just leaves a few hundred other animators to give snowboards to) and my work for "There's Something About Halo", I've done a few random creative sketches, but I wanted something finished, inked and shaded with pencils like I used to do.

I remember back in Sixth Form I used to earn the nickname "Cable Boy", from the sheer ammount of wires connected to me. Normally there was at least a personal stereo, a plugged in laptop, a mobile phone on charge and an internet connection all connected to me somehow in the common room, and it used to take forever putting the things away. Wires are interesting things and prove to be metaphors for "correspondance" (any Mage: The Ascension players will know what I mean by that), or connections and relationships between beings, concepts and items. They replace chains as the standard medium of "tying you up". Connecting you to things you'd rather pull the plug on, or not having an extension cord long enough to reach the port you want to be connected to.
